How To Make

Step 1: The first step is to blend peanuts until they get a thick consistency.

peanut butter in a blender

Pro tip: don’t blend figs before peanuts since they will make a complete mess in the blender due to their sticky nature. If you blend peanuts afterward, they will mix with the figs leftovers and you won’t be able to get pure peanut butter.

Step 2: The second step is to wash dried figs with filtered water and remove the steam, or you can soak them in warm water for 10 minutes so that they soften a little bit. Then blend them until they get a thick consistency.

Step 3: Mix both figs and peanut mixture well and evenly using a spoon until a dry texture suitable for making balls is formed. You may need to use a little bit of kneading with your hands to get both ingredients in place. (like the third image)

Step 4: With hands, create medium-sized balls, and roll them until no crumbs are left.

Pro tip: Blend another 30-40 grams of peanuts or some other nut of choice and melt 50 grams of dark chocolate using a double bowl method. If needed, add 2 teaspoons of coconut oil to create a more liquid mixture and add a special spark and flavor! Mix them to create the mixture. That’s where you are going to dip peanut balls into.

Dip the Peanut Balls into that chocolate-nut mixture, and leave them in the fridge to solidify for at least 1 hour!

Variations, Tips, And Ideas

Combine peanuts with other nuts – You can combine peanuts with other types of nuts such as walnuts, almonds, or hazelnuts, and add them as a minor percentage to spice the flavor a little bit. You can experiment with the measurements but in the end, the final mixture needs to be solid enough to be able to create balls and not fall apart.
